Hisses get kisses: Feral cats deserve love too!
TCAL needs to rehome 17 working cats as soon as possible. Working cats must be adopted as a group of two or more cats and all adoptions require an onsite visit.
Did you know that we have a long history of working with feral cats? We've taken in cats and kittens from a local feral colony as their caretaker traps them for roughly a decade to socialize and adopt them out or TNR (trap, neuter, return) them. Due to development in the area, the colony is now being displaced. We've been working to trap the rest of the colony, but what to do with them after that? We find them homes, of course!
The mission of our working cat program is to find loving, accepting outdoor homes for these cats to live their best lives with as much human interaction as they choose to have.
All available cats in our working cat program have been spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworms. We do require them to be adopted in pairs of two or more. Adoption fees are greatly reduced, or waived in some cases, for our working cat adoptions.
Do you have a barn, farm, or large outdoor space that could be a safe haven for feral cats? If interested, please reach out to learn more about adopting feral cats!
The lovely ladies of Gentle Acres Animal Haven recently adopted 4 of our feral working cats to live at their sanctuary.
